As a mountaineer trained in wilderness survival and rescue, I think this movie is outright dangerous. It shows an apparently qualified rescue individual breaking all the rules in the book - walking into worsening weather, not being adequately prepared (spikes in snowshoe terrain?), making poor decisions, not following the triage and evaluation protocols. When sheer willpower and stubborness is glorified on screen like this, it sets a poor example for people to be careless in the wild, which can get them in serious trouble and risks the lives of rescuers. It would be great anytime an outdoor movie is made to consult with rescue experts, so you're not showing unrealistic scenarios and misleading people about the realities of wilderness and a person's capabilities in the wild. For a more realistic wilderness survival scenario, see "Everest".
