Everything the light touches… soon falls into Disney's greedy, grimy, greasy, grotesque, grimlin paws and is turned into a barren wasteland with plots as deep as Mt Everest. I would love to give this zero stars but that’s unfortunately not an option. I am confused as to why Disney has decided to destroy the Star Wars franchise with the bad writers, directors and actors. I won’t lie and say no offense to anyone involved, I mean full offense. I am heart broken to see what’s becoming of an amazing series I was raised on with many wonderful books and six great films that made such an interesting world and lovable characters. Star Wars is not something that needed to be “modernized” They had plenty of source material, they even did some good stuff and made it clear they still know how to put in effort with shows like the Mandalorian and the Obi-Wan series, and let’s not forget the animated series’ like Clone Wars and Bad Batch, but they would rather attempt to be “woke” and continue making cheap, heartless cash grabs and try and ruin the entire lore of Star Wars. There’s nothing wrong with diversity, please do not misconstrue what I’m saying, but I am saying that diversity for diversity sake does not make for good stories or characters and hurt more than help. I will refer to the last three movies, they completely ruined something that had potential. They ruined Rey, lightsaber duals, and did that pointless, soulless, cheap resurrection of Palpatine that made no sense and made Anakin’s sacrifice seem pointless. Rey could have been a Kenobi, or from another strong family and carried on the ways of the Jedi. And don’t get me started on Finn. I was so intrigued and interested by him turning from Storm Trooper to good guy to someone who’s force sensitive and was very excited to see him grow as a character and force wielder… just for him to not do anything?? It would be a lie to say this is the only problem in Disney right now, but we all know that’s a lie, they’ve taken to reading tweets and twitter comments to find what they think people want in film and throwing together a movie in one sleepless, drug and beer fueled night and claiming it’s amazing. I hope this is the downfall of Disney and the amazing shows/movies/worlds they own are rescued and restored to former glory and they scrub the earth of this show and other pieces of media for multiple different universes. Save us, George Lucas, you’re our only hope.
