I find it both interesting and disappointing that we as a society are so tender that the director or writer— or both—of this show, decided not to use the N work, even though the show is about a former slave, now a deputy Marshall in the south during after the Civil War. I mean, really? I've watched four episode and have yet to hear the work. Make a series based on the so-called history of this area and act like the white southerners weren't fond of those dang negroes, but they all managed to work together. Please!! You can't change history by dressing it up in an evening gown. Next thing you know, they'll make a series about the Holocaust wherein the death camps were just places where jews ate leftovers and had no radios.
