I was excited to see MI7 especially in the theater. Talk about a disappointment. It seemed Ethan was either doing the typical Tom Cruise running scene or chasing Grace who didn’t have the sense to realize she was in way over her head. Every action sequence lasted longer than it should which made the movie longer than it needed to be. It also seemed to borrow content from Terminator (Skynet) and Jason Bourne (tiny car chase including bouncing down steps). Finally, it was frustrating for Ethan to quickly move beyond Ilsa into a deep relationship with Grace, who was at least partially responsible for Ilsa’s death. I’m glad so many others loved the movie, but it wasn’t for me.
