We watched this film again last night with better appreciation. Julian Fellowes wrote the screen play and Robert Altman directed. The cast is/was amazing. What a treat! The aristocracy was skewered entirely. Kristin Scott was in her prime as the bored, privileged lady of the manor. I had forgotten sweet songs of Ivor Novello that were part of the parlor scenes and popular at that time.
