DON'T GO SEE THIS MOVIE. Man, what an experience. This is a movie for the tik tok generation, a biproduct of our society of the spectacle, heavily image based, where narratives and arcs aren't needed to convey messages because nothing means nothing. We're in the post modernist wet dream. I'm trying to find some positives but it's hard. The cinematography at the beginning is fairly good. Perhaps you could say the acting was good but because it was mostly all ASMR and perhaps 200 words spoken in the whole movie it's hard to tell. If chatgtp had written this script then OpenAI stock would tank. There is meant to be a message here somewhere but god knows what. Absolutely terrible movie. Save yourself the 17 dollars I spent.

The key question is: is this movie worth paying out £15 quid to go see it at the cinema? The answer is no. It seems the movie was caught between two thematic chairs, the first one being the gritty Seven-esque psycho mystery, nihilistic ambiance, and the other being the reality of needing to compete with Marvel on the superhero story of justice and hope. The cinematography was great, with some really beautiful shots, and the Riddler was an interesting and complicated villain. The storyline was clunky and got lost between several arcs. Finally, the dialogue at time was amateurish, and some scenes didn't really make sense. Decent movie but I'd wait for it come out on streaming services
