The key question is: is this movie worth paying out £15 quid to go see it at the cinema? The answer is no.
It seems the movie was caught between two thematic chairs, the first one being the gritty Seven-esque psycho mystery, nihilistic ambiance, and the other being the reality of needing to compete with Marvel on the superhero story of justice and hope.
The cinematography was great, with some really beautiful shots, and the Riddler was an interesting and complicated villain. The storyline was clunky and got lost between several arcs. Finally, the dialogue at time was amateurish, and some scenes didn't really make sense.
Decent movie but I'd wait for it come out on streaming services
