This is a good game in the beginning. Really fun. The ability to experiment and play with different teams and construction of the party is enjoyable. However late game that all falls out and it is pretty much a requirement to have a party that is wholely built around status effects and you need to lean in to that hard. You will get bottle necked to a narrow list of monsters. While that may be enjoyable for some I find it disappointing. You have all these cool monsters but there is only around 20ish that are really useful for late game boss fights.
Plus the intense micro managing of the party seems like an artificial way to prolong play time.
To the devs great idea love it. But allow for greater variety, maybe don't have ever late game area and boss all maxed level, don't rely on the status effects so much.
