I am a fellow fan of Tyler Perry and enjoy awful chick flicks as much as the next person. However, this movie fell flat for me. The storyline tension tends to drag on and it wasn't until the last 30 minutes it started to actually pick up. Other than Tyler Perry there isn't much connection to the characters. Much of it is due to Thandie Newton's lack of believability in her character. Her crying/yelling is so predictable it's almost laughable. It was also disappointing that Phylicia Rashad did not appear in this as much as she should have. I would recommend this to someone who needs a touch of humility in their life.
