this may be a nonissue for others, but i personally enjoy movies more when i have at least one character to root for. from start to finish, all of this film’s characters were unlikeable. so, that was a bummer, but i still wanted to give it a shot. the movie was actually pretty interesting until the dinner table scene. from that point on, it was just a bunch of horror tropes poorly strewn together, in a short amount of time. i can appreciate a good cliffhanger, but this was not that. i would liken it to reading a novel, only to get to the end and realize that the last chapter was just the rough draft, that accidentally got left there. overall, the movie had potential, but in the end, it missed the mark.
