The Show doesn‘t seem very realistic when it comes to fighting scenes. It looks like the germans were extremely bad and stupid, and it‘s often shown that when a american soldiers shoots, there are instant hits, while the germans have extremely bad aim. That‘s simply not how it was. But I understand why it‘s done like this. But it is not near from being realistic, according to several books and tellings from people who actually fought there. However the Story seems accurate and is well done.
