Although "Apokolips War" technically came before the Snyder Cut, this felt like the spiritual successor to that movie. I was, to say the least, disappointed to hear that the Snyderverse was officially no more, mainly because I wanted **more Darkseid!** Fortunately, this animated Endgame-type movie was enough to soften the blow. Granted, it landed more than a few crushing blows of its own, but at least they did it right. This unique story is a testament to how truly terrifying and formidable Darkseid really is, especially in its final scenes. (Plus, this endgame has some character twists I can get behind, much unlike Smart Hulk.) If you liked the animated DC movies and/or Zack Snyder's Justice Trilogy, definitely give this one a watch.

Before the advent of PG-13, the middle ground everyone knows today, there was PG and R. Why this movie isn't rated R baffles me. Reason being: the full-frontal nudity towards the end is uncalled for, and I'd totally have watched this again if it wasn't for that. So be warned, because this otherwise intriguing and bone-chilling film is too much.
