Black Panther is a very well acted, entertaining, and solid entry to the MCU. However, I do believe most of the critics have built it up to be the pinnacle of movie making rather than the perfectly above average the film it truly is. The villains are compelling and not as throw away forgettable as they have been in past Marvel entries, this is a very welcome change. The only complaint I have is how banal they made T'challa as a protagonist, he was shown to have more depth in Civil War but it's not expanded upon in any meaningful way in this film. This is a great movie to sit down and enjoy with your family for some awesome super hero moments but don't go in expecting The Dark Knight levels of excellence or you will surely be disappointed.
