whoever wrote this has NEVER played a yakuza game in their lives no one was asking for a 1 to 1 recreation but this shit reeks, its yakuza in name alone here are some issues: kiryu got beaten by a random cop thug guy (kiryu has held his own against like 10 people btw), kiryu isn't a yakuza in the beginning (the show begins in 1995, kiryu in the games was a yakuza by 1985), Kazama is an ex yakuza (Kazama was a yakuza until the day he died), the DOJIMA CLAN isn't headed by SOHEI DOJIMA, instead its headed by a new guy, in the beginning kiryu, Nishikiyama, Yumi, and another random character are doing this weird heist thing? where they're trying to steal a bundle of cash from the dojima clan?? they don't heist they fight, and finally. the really big kicker in the games haruka is one of the most important characters, arguably 2nd only to kiryu, kiryu adopts her as no one else can take care of her, the reasoning behind this is because her mom YUMI, died..... in this show Yumi isn't Haruka's mom. seriously who is this show made for? its hard to get in as a new fan because you don't know a lot of this lore stuff, its hard to get into as a returning fan as you don't see any traits of the characters you recognize, and as a person who doesn't care about yakuza at all? well its just poorly written
