Tons of 5 stars - not sure why, though.
Im a very casual movie-goer, so no fancy language here to try sound like a top not critic or something. It just wasn't very good, had to keep from falling asleep early on, felt like too many storylines smooshed together.
It was cool to see Michael Keaton in character again, I grew up on the original movie (and the cartoon), and he had a couple of good bits that got me to chuckle some. Always love seeing Catharine O'Hara as well.
Outside of that, this movie was just kind blah. Which sucks, they could have really hit the nostalgia market - and maybe thats why there are alot of these 5 star reviews - I just don't get how anyone rates this a 5 star.
If you grew up in this era, and want to see it, but are unsure about paying ticket prices - wait for streaming on the flix or something. Not really worth the price of admission.
