The show does not have the great smooth animation like the Lion King, and shows no effort in character development with Simba or Kiara. The show is boring to the point where the only interesting characters are the antagonists themselves, and it kind of makes the audience root for them over the protagonists. The plot is great, but the fact that this is a show for babies ruins the Lion King even more. The Lion King's 1st show: Timon and Pumbaa has much better animation, better plot line, hilarious jokes and wisecracks from Timon and Pumbaa, and shows better effort on character development then The Lion Guard

There are several things liked about the movie but overall the movie lacked some of the old classic Disney charms the animation studio once had. The story is similar to that of Brave and Moana but changed to make it original. But I couldn't help but look back at the movies mentioned because the plot was similar. I loved Awkfanina, I hope I'm pronouncing the name correctly, as Sinsu, the Dragon, and she was generally hilarious throughout the film. She was the most fun in that film. But I didn't like the music that much, despite James Newton Howard scoring, the same guy that did Treasure Planet (my Fav), and I really didn't like the character design, the designs either look reused or simplistic. Raya feels like a forgettable character in this film, it could be because of the writing and lack of character development and chemistry. Will Kids enjoy the film? Yes. Adults? well, it depends, it's not quite similar to other classics like Aladdin or Lion King, but it's not boring to watch. Overall I wish the film did more with the writing and try and improve it a bit more. 1/10

Fans of the original, will surely enjoy this heart-warming, adventurous, hilarious show, that'll keep people tuned to every single episode, and be watched by many for generations to come.
