Recently discovered this book on the shelves of the downtown Dallas Public Library. Of particular interest was Chapter 6, Organic Growers:Agro-Ecological Catholicism and the Invention of Tradition. Noticed a photo of the municipality of Motozintla which was helpful on a personal level as I knew 3 brothers from there who lived here in Dallas.
It's been a while since I passed through Chiapas on my way to Central América so it was interesting to read this author's perspective on the structures in place which are forming society in that part of Mexico.
