What a beautiful show! As someone who has watched a LOT of tv and lives with a mental health disorder, this show is unique, funny, insightful, and a TRUE representation of the rollercoaster we live dealing with a mood disorder.
Unlike most media that has showcased this subject, it is not over the top nor ostentatious in the way it is shown but rather a realistic portrayal of the daily struggle and its effects on intrapersonal relationships.
The plot is about two Millennial women to struggling to get their careers going in London, and one happens to have BPD.
While it is a focal point, it is not the entire point of the series, and most importantly, the other characters and stories laced within never make fun of the main character’s health issues, even though the show is super funny.
They’re also not a serious plot point and I was SO grateful to see there wasn’t a “If you or someone you love is struggling with blah blah bloop” message at the end of the show, because that undermines the validation and acceptance that us neurodivergents deserve.
Big huge thanks to Camilla Whitehill for having the courage to step away from traditional programming and provide us with something fresh, heartfelt, and extremely funny instead.
