Meh. As a long-time KISS and Frehley fan, of course I had hoped this album would provide something that felt like the Ace of old, but it does not. It’s a lot of juvenile skirt-chasing nonsense that reflects no growth personally and little, if any, professionally. There aren’t even any great new solos to latch onto.
The closest this album gets to anything cool is the instrumental cut “Stratosphere,” which could easily be titled “Fractured Mirror II,” as it sounds a bit similar to the instrumental from his KISS solo album, just not as good.
After listening to all of this album, I believe i’ll continue to get my Ace fix from tunes he recorded with his former fellow Bronx bandmates.
