Luca was absolutely delightful. The one word that I would use to describe this movie is CHARMING. Luca is the story of a sea "monster" that is obsessed with learning and exploring the world around him. At first I thought that this was going to feel a lot like The Little Mermaid but it didn't. The comedy in this movie is very well done. The character are all very likeable. And yes, as always, Pixar will again tug on your heart strings. What makes Pixar so great is that they take their characters and they make you love them and then they make you watch them make realistic tough choices and Luca brings that in full force. It was unique, it was charming, and it asks big questions. Highly recommend!

This movie was fantastic! In one word: Profound. It was very thought provoking. My wife and I were wondering if it might be a little too heavy for children though. It sort of feels like you need to have some really prolific experiences before you can fully appreciate it. At the end of the movie, you walk away wondering about the purpose of life and how precious your time is. This is a movie that everyone needs to see... but maybe not children (and yes I realize how odd that is when talking about a Pixar movie lol).

Tom and Jerry is fun ride that you'll forget about next week. At it's best it feels like a very elaborate episode of Tom and Jerry and at it's worst it's another lazily written cash grab. I'm guessing that it would do fine with children but as an adult you'll have to remind yourself not to take it too seriously. To that point, I would like to point out that children love the MCU. Most kids can handle and appreciate good writing. My biggest criticism is that Tom and Jerry isn't trying to bring forward any kind of story that will challenge a viewer of any age to think about what they're watching. The original cartoons were all pretty much Tom tries to catch Jerry and a very clever Jerry outsmart him at every turn, resulting in 30 minutes of slapstick humor. That's what this is. It's not great but it's fine as long as you don't expect anything more than a long episode of Tom and Jerry. Then again, what were we expecting?

This movie was most righteous dudes!

It's a solid OK.... lot's of action for sure but the writing is a little weak. Also, you will find yourself getting pretty bored at times. The action scenes are good though.

This movie started off a little bit odd with choppy diologue and awkward character building (young Diana being awkwardly amazing) but it builds into a very strong and inspiring reflection of a very hectic point in our history (today I mean... not the 80s). It was a confusing mess at times but I wonder if it was intended to be because it was always enjoyable and even when you didn't know what was going on, you always wanted to see where it was going. That being said, the ending is very satisfying and it was interesting to see the movie take a turn that gets all too real. In short, great movie! Wonder Woman (surprisingly) found a way to bring something completely new to the superhero franchises that gets you hooked and leaves you taking a long hard look at the world and wondering what's coming next. Very inspiring, action packed, and lots of fun!

What a fantastic celebration of Latin American culture this movie was! Lin Manuel Miranda is so incredibly talented and his song writing skills hold nothing back in this beautifully crafted story about normal every day latin American people doing everything they can to chase their dreams no matter how long or hard they need to keep working at it. As a Hispanic person myself, I didn't realize how surprised I was to see our stories being told so realistically. This movie shows how Latin people are just as smart and hardworking as everyone else but, as with all minorities, we sometimes find that the path has yet to be paved for us. This movie shows stories that I've heard all my life but I never thought I'd see like this. People working to get into good colleges only to find that they can't afford to finish, neighborhoods being treated as secondary to wealthy neighborhoods, people who struggled all their lives to get what they have putting it all on the line to see the next generation succeed. Working hard and smiling while being treated like a second class citizen. It's uplifting. I'm so happy that these stories are finally being told. We'll done Mr. Miranda!

This movie was insulting. The original Mulan was fantastic and it demonstrated how a soldier could work hard to become great. This movie made her weak when she needed to be and it made her an incredible fighter when they needed the audience to go "wow so cool". It felt cheap. The praise that she gets at the end felt unearned. The men around her were written to be idiots just to make her look cool. Also, I was constantly reminded of how much I missed Mushu. They had a replacement for cricket, which was bizarre, but couldn't they have given us a fun supportive Mushu character for her? I hated it. Shame on you Disney.

Terrifying. Hilarious. Frustrating. This movie does a great job of pointing out the elephant in the room and also showing us that we may have already come too far. It's only as funny as it is scary.
