The acting was great. Himesh pulled off the songs with sincerity. The beef is with the story itself. The entire premise is something extraordinary happens to Jack & he’s thrown into an alt universe where he is the only one who knows who the Beatles are. The writer (wrongly in my opinion) builds the story around Jack’s guilt that he’s ‘stealing’ the Beatles songs. News flash- NO ONE KNOWS WHO THE BEATLES ARE in this new world Jack’s been thrown in! Even John, Paul, George, & Ringo don’t know who the Beatles are. It’s not Jack’s fault Mr script writer! There could have been hilarity in this conundrum but no, completely missed the mark. And the ending is so unrealistic with Jack suffering no repercussions for his sabotaging his fortunate situation. He would’ve been sued into extinction. Friends, family, every1 in the world were cheated out of the phenomenon over a misplaced guilt trip. So many better endings could have been written. Obviously a too quickly written half baked script based on a brilliant original idea. The songs and acting still pull you in enough for it to be enjoyable 3/4 of the time.

For the most part, a decent stab at trying to simplify complicated astrophysics concepts. Some items were too lightly engaged, but understandably due to the risk of triggering the ‘opening up a quantum can of worms ‘ cosmic effect. Unfortunately, in Chap7 things descended into some tired early 20th century Progressive elitist, sovereign scientist, ‘only science can save the world’ obtuseness.
