The first season was a delightful drama/thriller, with a quick-moving plot and mostly-consistently solid characters. Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) portrays his character, as usual, very well and very convincingly. The supporting roles are all well-baked, with few exceptions, and even then, they are decent.
Each episode kept me on my toes, and kept me coming back. That is, until the second season.
It felt as if the writers had a solid, cohesive plot cooked up for the first season, and then, rather awkwardly, delved more into the presidential piddles with a more episode to episode feel. Don't get me wrong, the episodes alone were all good, but nothing drew me me in like the first season did. Still, I highly recommend this show for those who enjoy political dramas, thrilling dramas, and/or Kiefer Sutherland.
