Heart-rending and poignant. This story, based on the true story of Dith Pran is a masterpiece showcasing the human spirit and invincibility in face of the limits of depravity and cruelty. Inspirational.

I quite enjoyed it. There was enough humor in it to keep it light, while dealing with the existential problem of humans vs robots and a world where A.I. will eventually bring us to this pass. I think it was sensitively executed and entertaining. Two good things to have in any movie.
