I watched “The Florida Project” for the first time last night after my friend had suggested it and I’d seen countless tiktok clips of it… and WOW. This movie is truly a masterpiece! Every character has such a well thought out storyline and the actors are absolutely incredible. Brooklynn Prince who plays Moonee brought me to tears with her scene when speaking to Jancey, there is so much real emotion within that scene. I’m almost 18 and this movie reminded me of what it’s like to be a young child and it’s truly so nostalgic. Please watch it, because I know I’m going to watch it again 💕💕

Hi! First of all, this is going to be the longest review I’ve ever posted and very descriptive so if you’re looking for an honest review from a 16 year old girl, then here. To me, this is a 10/5 star show (if that was possible.) I first found B99 back in April of 2022 on netflix and I’d heard of it but never tried to watch it. Since then, I’ve watched it 3 times and I’m considering a 4th time. Hands down, THE BEST SHOW made for several reasons. I gotta admit, it takes a few episodes to understand the characters and “layout” of how each episode goes but you will. Okay so number one, every single character has something relatable about them, and I mean every character!! You’re prone to like someone in the show which I think is great. They showcase a wide variety of personalities (especially Gina Linetti) and that’s what makes it so interesting. Number 2, the creators did an incredible job with representation and diversity with their casting. Stephanie and Melissa who play Rosa and Amy are both lovely and talented Latina women and Andre and Terry are African-American! It’s so great to see. Number 3 is the show tackles several issues and problems people face today and they do it really well. Racism, sexual-assault, facing homophobia, infertility, abuse and more. Some comedic shows are NEVER serious and it’s always just laughs and jokes but it’s good to see this in a show like B99. People are seen and recognized and that’s really good. I specifically appreciate Rosa Diaz’s storyline in season 5 as she came out as bisexual. As someone in the LGBTQ+ community, having a bisexual character and a bi actor (Stephanie Beatriz) means so much. Raymond Holt is gay too so there’s even more representation! B99 doesn’t just brush past these aspects either, they spread it out across the show. Anyways, another thing I REALLY love is how each episode is so entertaining. I can’t think of one episode I don’t like, each has something funny about it. There tends to be three different things happening in one episode as I’ve noticed and the creators did a good job with making sure it’s not hard to follow along with. There’s so many different stories followed through out the show and it’s so exciting as viewers to see them progress. This is getting excessive but I also wanted to mention how SEVERAL people complained about season 8 in this review section, and tbh, I’m not sure why?? I found season 8 really good and I think it’s important for them to speak up about George Floyd and the issues faced in 2020. People find stuff to complain about but I’m being 100% honest, the season is amazing. I could go on and on but if someone actually read this / found it helpful please lmk! WATCH B99, I beg of you!!

Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews! I really enjoyed the show and I think all the characters have something about them that makes Blockbuster really good. I’m a huge fan of Melissa Fumero myself from her role playing Amy Santiago on B99, so as soon as she posted about this show I wanted to watch it. The only reason I’m giving it 4/5 is because I’m only 16 and it’s harder for me to understand the actual concept of blockbuster because for the most part the stores peak’s were way way before I was born (90’s ish.) I think this show is entertaining and interesting. They have a really diverse cast with African Americans, latina / latino’s etc and that’s really wonderful to see. Vanessa Ramos did a great job writing this show and I’d highly recommend it!

One of my all time favourite shows! I first watched atypical in October 2020 and quickly finished through the 3 seasons and watched all of season 4 the day it came out. It’s been a year and 4 months since then but I remember everything! All the characters are so funny, talented and entertaining. Of course like many 16 year olds, this show was my ‘bi awakening.’ Since then I’ve came out as a lesbian but I remember having an addiction to Casey and Izzie as a couple for a while. Anyways, all of the episodes are really well written and I think Sam’s character is really unique. The concept of the show is different from others and brings awareness to those with Autism. Highly, highly recommend this show because it truly helped me a lot! :)

I’ve never left a review for a movie but I saw Encanto a few weeks ago, and let me tell you it’s by far one of my favourite movies. I have absolutely no negative things to say. The whole plot was so beautiful and I love the representation for other cultures. All the characters had something great about them and something unique. The voice actors were incredible. This sounds corny but I sometimes felt like I was the character. I also love how Luisa was portrayed as a strong women which is obviously amazing, good job disney! All the songs were very catchy, especially the Bruno song. I highly recommend this movie if you’re looking for something to maybe shed a tear from but smile a whole lot. 5/5. Love it!!

I usually never write reviews for movies but this one stood out to me. Just today I had finished the book and if I’m being honest, the book is just a slight bit better than the movie. Not to say that it’s bad at all, I absolutely LOVED it. Elle and Justice were the perfect people to play Violet and Finch and they captured the story beautifully. Although the plot was more rushed & could sometimes be confusing at times, it’s expected because it’s a movie. I shed a few tears that’s for sure. I think this movie is written well and can bring awareness to topics that people face everyday. 4/5 stars, watch it!!

SO GOOD!!! I went the day after it was released and I’m going again today, I swear after I got home I had post concert movie depression😭 Everything about the movie is amazing, you’ll never get bored! It’s more of a concert experience than anything, and it’s even better because it’s with a bunch of people who love Taylor as much as you do. I’ve been a swiftie for 10 years and I also happen to be Canadian, so I haven’t gone to a concert of hers before but this was incredible and I’d say it’s a win if this is the closest I’d ever get to her concert! 100% recommend it, bring every swiftie you know and dress up, make friendship bracelets and have so much fun<3
