I have watched "The View" since the program debuted in 1997, and have continued to watch in spite of all its cast changes and format iterations. The return of Meghan McCain to the show's first broadcast of 2021 is especially disappointing. She adds nothing to the show except to provide a divisive, unsettling, uneasy undercurrent to virtually every topic. Her absence during her maternity leave was a welcome respite compared to the tumultuous vibe she brings to the "set" with every broadcast. In my opinion, Ana Navarro provided a welcome, intelligent, funny, mature sense of calm during McCain's absence, and should be seriously considered to replace Ms McCain on a full time basis.
