I've read the original "Love and Gelato" book and it was amazing, i loved it. However in the movie, they changed wayyy to much of the storyline. First of all, she moved to Florence, not Rome. And she lived in a cemetery with Howard. They barley focus on the relationship between Lina and Howard. They completely replaced Thomas with "Alessandro," and changed Lina, Ren, and Allie's personality! They replaced the small introduction party with Ren, suited for Teens, into a huge fancy adult party. Speaking of Teens, Lina is 16 years old, not 18! Nothing in the book mentions college or univeristy! They even got rid of the iconic line, "I made the wrong choice" line!! This is only the beginning of a terrible adaptation of the book. I wouldn't recommend this movie to my worst enemy. Go save yourself some time and read the book.
