Stormbreaker from Anthony Horowitz is the first in the Alex Rider series. I bought this book for my son when he was 11. It is a children`s book great for 10-14-year old kids, especially those who like adventure and are not into heavy ready. There is a limited number of characters and although not extensively developed, they are just right for the target audience. The plot is quite well done with almost non-stop action that is mostly believable in this age of James Bond. The setting is in the UK and not overly described. I enjoyed Stormbreaker as a children`s book.

This is a wonderful book for young children. The rhymes are delightful and keep building till the end. The detailed illustrations keep you captivated. The additional details on each animal encountered in the book provide interesting information.
