I only watched this movie to the end to see if the incredibly cheesy ending I’d envisioned in my mind would come to fruition. Sadly, it exceeded it even my expectations of cheesiness.
Spoiler Alert: Fishburn is too good of a dramatic actor to die so quickly. Liam is channeling Shakespeare on a Mel Brooks level of film. At times, the movie was overly explanatory. While at other times, the action was drawn out way too long. It seemed that more could have been done on the long drive on the ice to establish a deeper, more communal relationship between the drivers.
Generally, it seemed like it was made on the fly and then someone yelled “Cut!” “Print!” because they were just too tired or too cold to do one more take.
