This limited series is so loosely based on the great Tom Wolfe novel that calling it an adaptation seems dishonest. The sixth episode has mostly manufactured conclusions that are poorly constructed and sticking much closer to the novel would have been much better and watchable. This could actually be a worse adaptation of a Tom Wolfe novel than the 1990 movie “Bonfire of the Vanities”.
