DOCTOR MOBIUS

The landscape is boring and repetitive. there's no enemy diversity, and the space combat is awful. I love most Bethesda games (NV was made by obsidian but it counts here) so I was hyped for this to come out but its disappointing. I got it on game pass so I'm not too bumbed. The only thing I can hope to make the game a bit more fun is mod support (on console its already on pc). If you want to have a bit of fun get the perk at the start of the game that gives you the adoring fan, then shoot him a bunch and listen to what he says. The fact that the adoring fan is the only character I actually found amusing is a bit sad. There are next to no "new" mechanics it honestly feels like a Frankenstein of Outer Worlds, Fallout settlements building, and the mining system of Subotica. Also I see many reviews calling this game just like Fallout and Skyrim, but I strongly disagree. In my eyes what make the elderscrolls and fallout series so great is there deep in depth lore and characters with personality that allow you to truly immerse yourself in the world. This game lacks all of that, I went to earth to try and find ruined cities or landmarks like that and they took the easy rout and decided DESERT and that's it NOTHING MORE i got a bit exited when I saw markers for locations of interest and WOW uninteresting pile of rocks that gave me lung damage aaahhh you shouldn't have...really. Ill admit I haven't played through the full game and I'm not sure I will, the main quest is so unbearably uninteresting that it seems like they thought they could get away with just the landscape. the main story is a glorified fetch quest so far. I'm generally fine with fetch quests if at least the location is interesting but its all oh there's a cave with metal in the wall, oh look what's this ANOTHER CAVE WITH METAL IN A WALL how could they top this, then you'll never guess what happens next.... one where a guy has it on his space ships dash, THEN ANOTHER CAVE WHAM FULL CIRCLE BET YOU DIDNT SEE THAT COMING!!!!! anyway its meh, if they added a main quest character that was like DOCTOR MOBIUS from fallout NV then I'd play just for that and give 5 stars (I'm fairly easy to please), but there's nothing but these drywall characters that look pretty. Though it could have been fun if I could play with friends but that would be just because of them and not the game. BTW 1 stars a bit harsh bc it does look nice, minus the weird color overlays that make everything look a bit too one color I think they were trying to make that the air color or something I dont know.
