Moonlight Too

This was, in my opinion, Disney's best live action adaption yet. The CGI was a bit rough in the beginning, but that's the only negative thing I can think of. I love the original as it was my favorite since I was a child, but they managed to make the live action have a little more depth. (No major spoilers ahead - it's a remake, nothing majorly new) We get to see more of Eric's longing to find the "mysterious girl", and how Ariel and Eric bond over their curiosity of the world and exploring. They added some new songs and I liked them, especially Eric's. The Broadway style casting (aka colorblind casting) of all of the characters from the merpeople to the kingdom was a good choice. Go in with an open mind and you might just enjoy it!

I had a smile on my face the whole time I was watching the movie. I have played Mario games with my brothers and sisters all throughout my childhood, and it was so amazing to see it on the big screen! The soundtrack was great, seeing references to past games and consoles, everything about it was such a great time. If you're a fan of Mario, I'm 99% sure you'll love the movie. I really hope there's a sequel in the works.

In contrast to lower reviews on here, I actually think that all of the scenes in this movie are important and make sense in the end. Some of it I caught during the screening, and some I realized later on after going home after the movie. I won't go into detail to avoid posting spoilers, but each flashback and main character is there for a reason. While I felt the beginning was just a bit slow, it was definitely a creepy and good movie, more on the side of a thriller than horror at times. Loved the main trio of the movie as well, I was rooting for all of them!
