It's brave to make a movie like when you know people will hate on it and call it "feminist propaganda." I hope in some years from now society progresses to where this movie looks dated. The way movies 20 years old look dated by today's standards. But as of now, we need movies like this to start conversations.
Women can be better than men in the workplace and in traditionally men's industries. Men aren't used to making space for women's success. Men need to heal their ego and what their identity is based on, and women need to stop apologizing for their deserved success. We all need to be part of this conversation.
Yes it may have been dramatized but it's a movie. The underlying dynamics are present, more subtly than this portrayal, in real life as modern professional women know.
The majority of 1 stars are coming from men. The women giving this 1 star are also complaining about the "foul language and sex scenes" if that tells you what side of the patriarchy they are on.
