Read the books (amazing btw, give it a try).
The Tv adaptation was OK. Not as much disappointment as Percy Jackson, Season one was good except the stupid romantic drama. Season two had some plot holes but could be overlooked. But honestly after seeing GoT and LOTR, any fantasy books adaptation seems to be subpar in my eyes.
