I saw it in St. Paul, MN yesterday at the Fitzgerald Theater. Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes were there to introduce it and answer questions after the closing titles.
The movie is full of quotes from previous Kevin Smith works, and there are appearances, including cameos from tons of people from those films.
Is it an Oscar candidate? Well, no, but if you're a Jay and Silent Bob fan, you'll definitely want to see it. It's better with Kevin and Jason present, to be sure, but it will stand on its own, too.
The audience at the Fitzgerald was a great mix of aging slackers, misfits and weird folks of all kinds. That is as it should be. Me? I'm an aging hippie who started watching Kevin's work at age 50. Maybe I'll grow up someday, but this "Reboot" will help delay that...
