I’ve seen Jimmy Carr live twice, watched pretty much all of his stand up videos and enjoy everything I’ve seen him in - until now. This is dire. Admittedly I only managed to watch about 15 minutes before I turned it off, the jokes are very poor and the delivery even worse. I might as well watch a CGI mock up, it would have been marginally more entertaining.

I’m a huge fan of Ricky Gervais, but to me Armageddon is very, very poor. The jokes are lame, and his delivery of them is half hearted. It’s as if he’s becoming complacent in his stand up, and many of his jokes are a re-hash of those that he’s used in previous performances. He constantly reminds the audience of how wealthy he is, and I get the feeling that he’s beginning to believe his own hype. A big let down for me.
