Like a version of Mercenaries set around Paris during the Second World War. A fun storyline and although the mechanics aren’t as slick as in some other games they don’t detract too much from the enjoyment of the game. Of course the missions become a bit repetitive, as they do in all games of this type, but there’s still enough variety to keep players occupied. There are multiple ways to complete many of the missions, whether you prefer stealth or gung-ho blasting. I was genuinely surprised by the scale of the map and the variety of vehicles you can use to traverse it. Missions range from simply blowing up targets to assassinations and destruction of huge enemy fortifications. The scenery and buildings are also very varied, often throwing up surprises that you chance upon by accident. The dialogue is often funny and quite sweary - a refreshing change from some of the staid dialogue in other games. This game gave me many hours of pleasure.
