This book is extremely sad and will continually pull at your heart strings. If that’s for you consider this a 5 star. I prefer a more joyful outcome. It is well written and the author did a great job at setting scenes and describing the characters in a way that brought the story to life, possibly to the detriment of the overall complexity of the book. It is thrilling and suspenseful. Transporting the reader back and forth between the past and now in a cleaver and well executed way. As much as I liked the writing style of the artist, I will most likely steer clear of ever reading or listening to any of their other releases. Would not recommend unless you enjoy being sad or crying over fictional characters.
