Boring. Trite screenplay. If it were’nt for the excellent victorian set design there would be no reason to watch.

The best I can say about Ave 5 is that I had to turn it off after 15 minutes. Yes it was that painful. I only lasted that long in deference to Hugh Laurie, who deserves better.

Beautifully written, directed and performed by a stellar cast. When the curtain came down there was not a dry eye in the house. Bravo to all involved.

I'm a big fan of Vince Gilligan.. I put him right up there with the Cohen bros. in his ability to make cinematic magic with simple, stark story lines filled with all the right stuff to keep you glued to the screen. As I think Oliver Twist once said, " I would like more please".

A deeply sorrowful, joyful, beautifully photographed, spiritual experience of Vincent's extraordinary life. A memorable performance by Willem Dafoe. Thankyou Julian Schnabel.

Too much narration.. Not enough of the children, who are wonderful and not enough of joan cusack. Cut out 75 percent of narrator lines and give time to joan and kids.
