I came from New Zealand to work on the 'Dancing with Spirits' celebration with the Tom Lewis and the Djilpin people at Beswick falls about eight years ago. The wisdom, the intensity, the sense of mission and also the sheer joy of the man made an indelible impression. The festival was the most powerful spiritual experience I have ever had. Tom realised i was out of my depth and guided me though with astounding wisdom and generosity. I have just revisited 'The chant of Jimmie Blacksmith' and the same qualities are there to see in his performance. It was an honour to meet you Balang Tom E. Lewis. Mark Pulsford
