I have never seen such blatant torture porn disguised as “we’re telling a serious character driven story” written and directed by a man who clearly just wanted to bone Marilyn Monroe but only if she was crying.
Ana de Armas is genuinely talented, beautiful and riveting, but this movie is just further exploitation of a woman who was clearly complex and already tortured enough to begin with. Just because the cinematography is beautiful doesn't mean the movie isn't rotten to its core.
