Overall satisfied. I think JJ Abrams redeemed himself in this episode from the recent two.

Just saw the film last night. I cannot believe how amazing this film was. It checked every box in what a film is supposed to do to the audience and that is inspire you and move you. I'm an 80s kid and saw the original Top Gun. This film although it touches on the 1st film. This surpasses the 1st. I actually was moved to tears and also made me realize the bravery of these pilots when they're on a mission to defend our nation. And I liked when he tore the Manual up and said to the students the enemy knows their handbook, they need to be better than the handbook. My husband also who served in the Navy was moved on so many occasions throughout. I haven't watched a film in a long time that has moved me to the degree of tears and excitement. The flying action scenes are so intense it's like you're also in the cockpit. And best of all it wasn't woke. It had diversity but without being political or playing the race card. It was a team united to serve and protect the nation with love for the country and Their fellow workers . Loved it. Two Thumbs up.
