watch this if you just want some pretty people and scenery to look at and don't really want to engage, good for vegging out on. I watched the whole thing somehow. Very contrived plot, all the cliches push it along to its unlikely conclusion. Laura Dern is such a sterling actress, wonder why she did this?

this really wanted to be a great addition to the genre but didn't manage. A bunch of tropes make up a flimsy plot for the director to build his imagery and set pieces on. After an hour I found I really didn't care how things would pan out. Made me want to watch a bunch of other movies to get the meal I was hoping for - Highlander, Assassins Creed, Kung Fu Panda2, Dr Strange, The Matrix, Only Lovers Left Alive ...

Silly outlandish work of fiction going as a documentary. *Update: Wood is being sued by Manson for emotional distress and several other things. Evan Rachel Wood submitted this documentary to court as evidence of Manson's abuse. The judge has thrown it out because it contains no proof whatsoever. Now is the time in the case where she is required to lay a countersuit if she likes. The statute of limitations that she was fighting for has been amended, so she can do so. Despite her claim that she has mountains of evidence, she has chosen not to sue. There is only 1 conclusion we can come to, she concocted a smear campaign, just as original accuser Ashley Smithline has now admitted to under oath. This documentary is nothing but a lie and a hit piece. So embarrassed for the professional critics who all fawned all over her and this ridiculous mockumentary. The Emperor has no clothes.
