I've seen the play 3 times in 3 cities, loved each version. But the movie is great in a different way: close-ups and various camera angles enhance the characters' emotions. Plus this is the only way we'll can see it with the original cast. What a perfect way to spend the 4th of July when we couldn't go out to see fireworks.

Clever and timely story with a very engaging heroine. I really hope they make movies of all the Enola Holmes books.

I would give it 6 stars if I could. A laugh-out-loud, poignant, feel-good movie with a sprinkling of what life was like for blacks in 1970's LA.
