Massive Guardians fan, the first two movies were amazing - but whatever this was was horrific. With no warning to the contents of this movie, I walked into to witness horrific animal abuse, extreme violence, and no plot. Spoiler** For pg-13 movie it was the most disturbing thing I’ve ever watched. Pigs heads ripped off, faces ripped off, bunnies mutilated into robotic spiders, otters with mechanical hands, and other creatures just absolutely tortured and disfigured. Then they were all massacred with no warning. The amount of gore should have labelled this as a R rated movie - I covered my eyes the whole time. Do not go with children or as a lover of animals. I am sickened that this is supported and that I have even seen comments that say they could have taken it further. Beside the gore, the plot started in the middle with no thorough explanation. They all just screamed at each other. Cosmo the dog had no point to be included. People kept dying but no one actually died. Peter literally got sucked into the vacuum of space his face swollen and frozen for minutes, they pulled him in and he is totally fine. Rocket was dead most the movie only back for the final scene. The background characters looked like cartoons, completely unrealistic. There were children in cages with no real tie to the plot. Music was terrible with no memorable song like previous movies. Overall, terrible plot, bad acting, terrible writing, unnecessary arguing, love stories that went no where, cold and heartless story, and gruesome and disturbing violence. It worries me that this was the only way they saw the movies could go. Don’t go if you have a heart, will make you want to walk out.
