I am a huge fan of the Matrix movies. The original trilogy delivers action and intensity with mind-bending concepts making you question reality. Matrix Resurrections is a satire on The Matrix trilogy. There is quite a bit of, I’d like to say comic relief, however, there is nothing to relieve me of as the whole movie was comical. There also seems to be confusion in the plot at times and there are multiple plots and no plots happening all at once. The action is actually hilarious in this movie as well, with choppy slow motion movement that you would think we would have mastered in 2021 compared to 2000. When all is said and done, I was ecstatic to see Neo and Trinity in a movie together again, but by the time the credits were rolling, I was extremely disappointed and it became apparent that this was just a failed attempt to bring old fans of the Matrix back for one more.
