The book is so beautifully done. The art style is so whimsical yet simple. The storytelling, recounting a child's perspective of the revolution, is unique and memorable. In addition, it is informative of the history of Iran and highlights and justifies the motives behind the revolution, despite the less-than-optimal outcomes. The movie captures the story so well. It's amazing how they captured the art style and storytelling while adding additional elements. In most cases, the book is far better than the movie; however, in Persepolis's case, the movie is just as good.
