A wonderful read. Through the eyes and voice of a late teens girl, we see a normally ignored side of the City, the life of the homeless. With well-sketched characters and a drama climaxing with an overflowing Brisbane River in flood, it will resonate well with Brisbane readers, I couldn’t put it down as I tumbled with our main character towards the crisis. I’d only previously read Trent’s debut novel ‘Boy Swallows Universe’ but I’ll now be finding the rest of his work.
