I read very good things about this movie and was excited to watch it. However, I couldn’t get through it because of how CREEPY and STALKERISH shahrukh khan’s character was. He couldn’t take no for an answer. The way that he keeps following around the girl when she is clearly not interested, TO THE POINT WHERE SHE TELLS HIM SHES MARRIED. After finding out that she lied, I thought he would finally get the message but he was instead relieved and went on following her after she said “leave me alone”. then the way he forced himself onto her on the mountains - I just couldn’t keep watching I felt so bad for the girl. It would’ve made it better if SRK’s character was shown as being in the wrong but he was actually heavily romanticized. Even though the movie is kinda old...there were people leaving reviews who didn’t comment at all on the bad parts, they actually saw now faults with with movie even in this day and age. I think this is a classic example of the world having to be though a male’s view, of how if there was a girl doing the seam thing she would be portrayed as a desperate and “bad” person. (i wouldn’t condone those creepy behaviors even if it was a girl but the same people that are fine with letting SRK’s actions slide would think the girl as a pathetic, desperate woman.)
