Plot is about a family struggling to stay together which is more typical in our culture than we would admit. Secular media will also not admit that what families need is faith in God and prayer to win the spiritual warfare we all are fighting against. The movie offers a solution that secular society will just dismiss. It was presented in raw honesty of how real life goes in ground zero.
The actors , even the new ones like Priscilla Shirer played their parts so well that you would think they are Hollywood pros.
The scripts are well written particularly during the scenes of conflict. Although there no expletives which is common in secular movies, and there is no need for them in quality movies in the first place, the exchange of words were carefully measured but expressive of deep feelings of hurting hearts.
I do hope more motivational movies like this will be made since our generation needs more examples of how to live right in the midst of spiritual emptiness. Kudos to the Kendrick brothers! May their tribe increase!
