What a mess.. just thrown together and a whole bunch of 90lb women just throwing everyone around with no sense of danger or realism. One of the 90lb'ers fights against a huge spider-woman who has 8 stabbing legs.. but only seems to use her one main spear? I completely checked out at that scene..
The whole thing just makes no sense. The 'hero' just all of a sudden starts putting together a team in what seems like a few hours, no context of the challenge of even traveling or the difficulty of finding them. And each has a lame recruitment with a few lines of dialog ue then the character just saying 'ok' to just some random moody girl for a vague plot reason. I'm still not even sure the reason now that I think about it..
And no this isn't an anti woke thing, see plenty of strong female characters who don't pretend to have the strength of a 300lb man: Ellen Ripley, Captain Janeway, the girl in Prey, Furiosa, Bobbi Draper, Mystique, the queen in 300 (also Snyder), princess Leia, etc. etc. - not to mention the whole movie LOVES making almost every man "lesser" and bumbling, evil, drunk, a thief, or misogynistic..
I tried to enjoy it, I honestly did, but it is just so far off the mark in so many ways, it just made me sad.
