I read other reviews to see if I was off the mark with this one. No, this is not one of Mr Burkes best. I didn’t connect with any of the characters not even Dave or Clete. And I love them both. This tome is too dark, other worldly, and wordy. I couldn’t wait for it to end. But I stuck with!
